🛡️ Your Privacy Matters
QR Scan Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to our servers. Your data stays on your device, under your control.
Data Collection
We want to be absolutely clear about our data practices:
- No Data Collection: All scanned QR codes are stored locally on your device only
- No Cloud Upload: No scan history is uploaded to any cloud service
- No Analytics: No analytics or tracking data is collected
- No Personal Information: We do not gather any personal information
Local Storage
Your scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage methods:
- Scan results are saved in a local database on your device
- Settings and preferences are stored in encrypted preferences
- All data remains on your device unless you explicitly export it
Optional Server Sync
If you choose to enable the optional server sync feature:
- You provide your own private server URL
- Data is sent directly to YOUR server, not ours
- We do not have access to your server or the data you sync
- You are responsible for the security of your own server
- This feature is completely optional and disabled by default
Camera Access
QR Scan Pro requires camera access to scan QR codes:
- Camera is used only for real-time QR code scanning
- No photos or videos are captured or stored
- No images are transmitted anywhere
- Camera access can be revoked at any time in device settings
Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:

Data Export
When you export your scan history:
- Export files are created locally on your device
- You control how and where to share these files
- We have no access to exported data
Biometric Security
If you enable biometric app lock:
- Biometric data is handled by your device's secure hardware
- We do not have access to your fingerprint or face data
- Authentication is processed entirely on-device
Third-Party Services
QR Scan Pro uses the following third-party components:
- Google ML Kit: For on-device barcode detection (no data sent to Google)
- CameraX: For camera functionality (Android standard library)
These components process data locally on your device.
Children's Privacy
QR Scan Pro does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we don't collect any personal data from any users, this includes children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
