Camera Permission
PassScan Pro requires camera access to scan MRZ codes on documents. The camera is used solely for:
- Reading Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) data from passports and ID cards
- Real-time text recognition using on-device ML Kit technology
Camera images are processed in real-time and are not stored or transmitted.
Data You Choose to Share
PassScan Pro offers optional features that may involve data transmission:
- Server Sync: If you configure server synchronization, scanned data will be sent to YOUR specified server URL. We do not receive or have access to this data.
- CSV Export: You can export scan history to CSV files for your own use.
Third-Party Services
PassScan Pro uses the following third-party services:

Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:
- All data is stored locally on your device
- Optional biometric authentication for app access
- Optional auto-clear feature for sensitive data
- No cloud storage of personal document data by our company
Children's Privacy
PassScan Pro is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Retention
Scan history and settings remain on your device until you:
- Manually delete individual records or all history
- Uninstall the application
- Clear app data through device settings
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: View all stored scan history within the app
- Export: Export your data to CSV format
- Delete: Remove individual records or clear all history
- Control: Enable/disable features like auto-sync and history saving
